Arrow Equine was established in 2008 by Sara Vold, she began her journey as a Registered Veterinary Technologist in an equine lameness specialized Veterinary practice. Sara observed thousands of horses whom had various forms of postural and gait asymmetries, which then lead her into the Equine Sports Therapy world. Sara continues to learn and expand her knowledge to better understand the equine athlete and the many ways to help address the soft tissue. Every horse responds differently, so it is imperative to know several ways to address the dysfunction of soft tissue.
Sara is an insured professional, with a strong background in biomechanics and a passion for the horses well as the team of professionals she works alongside. Sara is a certified EST (Equine Sports Therapist), EEBW3 (Level 3 Equinology Equine Body worker), NKTE (NeuroKinetic Therapist Equine).
The performance horse industry has continued to evolve and care for the equine athlete is substantially more advanced than 10 years ago. Sara is proud to be a part of a full team of professionals to optimize equine performance, and injury prevention. (Studies show that muscle injuries can take up to 90 days to become apparent in which time they may have caused much more serious injury.)
Arrow Equine sessions entail postural and gait analysis, using video footage to further identify small asymmetries and dysfunctions. Sara utilizes her knowledge of all her modalities in a customized approach for what the equine athletes body needs. A few of the modalities being kinesio taping, sports massage therapy, myofascial release, equipment assessment. Following up with customized stretches and exercises to further potential in that specific equine athlete.
Arrow Equines belief is that it truly takes a village to achieve greatness within the equine athlete. Sara works along side other professionals (Body Workers, Saddle Fitters, Farriers, Nutritionists, Veterinarians, Chiropractors, Equine Dentists, Trainers, etc.) to come up with the best individualized program for that equine athletes needs, getting to the root of concern.
